At EB Critical, we believe that supporting our local communities is just as important as supporting our customers. That’s why we were incredibly proud to sponsor and take part in this year’s Sunflower Sprint in aid of Lingen Davies Cancer Support.
The event proved to be a huge success, bringing together more than 750 participants from across the region and raising an impressive £40,000+ towards the Sunflower Appeal. The funds raised will help support the development of a new cancer centre at Princess Royal Hospital, improving cancer treatment and care for thousands of patients and their families across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales.
Members of the EB Critical team and family joined hundreds of runners, walkers, families, and supporters at Leaton Forest for what was an inspiring and uplifting day. The atmosphere throughout the event was incredible, with people of all ages coming together to support a cause that has touched so many lives.

As both a sponsor and participant, it was fantastic to see first-hand the impact that community fundraising events can have. Beyond the colourful powder stations and finish-line celebrations, there was a real sense of purpose and determination shared by everyone taking part.
Many of us have experienced the impact that cancer can have on family members, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. Events such as the Sunflower Sprint provide an opportunity not only to raise vital funds but also to demonstrate the strength of our local community and its commitment to supporting those affected by cancer.
We would like to congratulate Lingen Davies Cancer Support on delivering such a well-organised and successful event, as well as thank all the volunteers, sponsors, fundraisers, and participants who made the day possible.
At EB Critical, we are committed to supporting initiatives that make a positive difference within our communities. Taking part in the Sunflower Sprint was a fantastic experience for our team, and we are proud to have played a small role in helping the event achieve such an outstanding result.
The £40,000+ raised so far is a remarkable achievement, and we know every pound will contribute towards improving cancer services for people across our region.
We are already looking forward to supporting future events and continuing to give back to the communities we serve.
Well done to everyone involved! Together we have helped make a real difference.
