Armed Forces Day is an important opportunity to recognise the service, commitment and sacrifice of the men and women who make up our Armed Forces community, serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families.
At EB Critical, the day carries particular meaning. Around half of our workforce, including our Directors, are tri-service veterans who have served across the Armed Forces and now bring that same professionalism, discipline and sense of purpose into the work we do every day. Their experience continues to shape our culture, strengthen our team and support the standards we uphold across every part of the business.
As a company focused on protecting critical industrial assets, we understand the importance of trust, resilience, teamwork and calm decision-making in high-consequence environments. These are not simply desirable qualities in our sector, they are essential. They help ensure that critical systems and infrastructure continue to operate safely, reliably and efficiently. We are proud that so many of these qualities are deeply embedded within our organisation through the service and experience of our veteran colleagues.
Military service develops people in ways that continue to add value long after service has ended. Leadership under pressure, accountability, safety discipline, teamwork and the ability to make sound decisions in demanding situations are all qualities that transfer directly into the environments in which we work. At EB Critical, those strengths support the protection and performance of critical industrial assets across steam systems, combustion plant and water treatment infrastructure, helping us deliver safe, dependable outcomes for our clients.
Armed Forces Day also gives us an opportunity to say thank you, not only in words but through practical support. To mark the occasion this year, EB Critical has made a donation to The Royal British Legion, one of the UK’s leading Armed Forces charities.
The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel, veterans and their families, with help ranging from financial assistance and recovery services to expert guidance, care and support for those facing injury, illness or the challenges of transition after service. Its work makes a meaningful difference to the Armed Forces community across the UK, and we are proud to support that mission through our Armed Forces Day donation.
For us, supporting the Armed Forces community is about more than recognising a single day in the calendar. It is about valuing the contribution veterans continue to make within our own business, respecting the wider Armed Forces community, and acknowledging the sacrifices made not only by those who serve, but also by the families who support them.
